     Join us at our 2nd year of Girls horse camp for horsemanship, fishing, nature walks, devotions, cooking & baking sessions, ranch work & chores, arts & crafts, and reading time in the bunkroom overlooking your horse’s stall.  We provide the horse, helmet, bunk bed & bedding & towels, ranch style cooked meals, fishing poles, and art/craft supplies!  You just bring friends, one or two moms per group, clothes, Bible, and boots!  Be ready to get dirty, sweaty, and run through the sprinklers as we ride our way through summer!

 

Camper COST: $225/girl  * Mom/Chaperone Cost: $100

AGE: 7 years – 18 years  (ages divided up by weeks)

Arrive on Monday evening (between 4-7pm preferred).  Dinner served at 6pm.

Leave Thursday evening (between 4-6pm preferred).  Dinner served in to-go bags.

Bring a group of friends with you!

We can sleep 8 kids and 2 moms.  Counselors are available if moms do not come.  Campers share horses between two kids in groups over 4.  (We have 4 kid-friendly horses).  Mother/Daughter camp is also an option (5 girls and 5 moms).  Mom’s cost is $175 if riding.

Retreats

 

     We offer mother/daughter and girls (ages 7-18) overnight retreats throughout the year.  Four day camps are offered currently during early summer weeks.  One to two mothers are needed to attend the retreats or camps as chaperones with the girl groups.  We have space for up to 10 people.  Two queen sized bunkbeds and 6 twin size bunkbeds.  A retreat typically includes Christian horsemanship, Equine Facilitated Learning through games and initiatives with horses, devotions throughout the day, fishing, hiking, cooking, cattle classes if requested, and fun girl time in the bunkroom!

     Zanzibar is a place to unplug yourself from electronics and the rushed paced world we live in to enjoy the steady rhythm ranch life has to offer.  We start early and stay outdoors late when the weather allows.  Everyone participates in chores, horse care & feeding, ranch work, sometimes gardening, and even cooking!  There is time to relax during the day for reading and journaling (which is strongly encouraged).  Scripture is used throughout the day and we take time to grow in our relationship with God along the journey.
